Karbala, Victims killed or injured in suicide bomb attacks and mortar explosions in the holy city of Karbala continues to grow.At least 41 people were killed and dozens wounded when a mortar exploded in the middle group of Shia pilgrims in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, according to provincial health officials reported.”As many as 144 people were injured after a mortar fired into a group of pilgrims on the last day of the ceremony commemorating Shi’a holy days,” said health officials.The bomb killed and wounded Shi’ite pilgrims to leave Karbala, 110 kilometers, south of Baghdad, where more than one million pilgrims to celebrate Arbaeen.It is the third major attack this week against the Shias, who have for several weeks had to travel to Karbala on foot.
