Reap what we sow

reap“Do not be deceived: God can not let himself be tricked. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. No one who sows in the flesh, he will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows in the Spirit, he will reap eternal life from spirit. And let us not weary-weary doing good, because when the season we shall reap, if we do not become weak. ”
(Galatians 6:7-9)

In the case of planting or maintaining a garden, what we reap depends on what we sow. When we plant a strawberry plant, then we will reap strawberries when they have grown. Cucumber tree is not possible to produce strawberries. So also in life, what we sow in this life has a direct result of what we will receive in life. In other words, all our actions have consequences, and one day we should be accountable. Works well to produce a good result, and bad deeds produce bad consequences.

No one can avoid this reality. Examples like the apostle Paul, who virtually reap what he sow. When he was a Pharisee, he thought he was serving God with the hunt for Christians, persecuting them, and even agreed to murder them – simply because they are Christians. Later, after Paul himself became a Christian, he now becomes the hunted, persecuted, and eventually killed – simply because Paul was a Christian. The difference is now he has the right to sow and he has a crown of righteousness waiting for him in heaven.

Indeed, we reap what we sow. Sometimes the result immediately visible after our actions, such as the values of good if we study hard, or fall and hurt your feet if not careful walking. At other times, we may not immediately see the consequences of our actions, such as the difficulty we find that high-income jobs because we do not really learn in college, or we live with a fit and healthy because we eat wisely and exercise.

But we should not be fooled by thinking that our actions do not lead to anything. Do not think we can do something and not have to account for, though we will not get caught on the spot. Remember, God does not let himself be tricked. He sees everything. You reap what you sow.

Are there things you have done that you can still improve in order to reap a good result?
